In 2014, it will be a century ago that World War I broke out. This conflict raged violently and dragged the world into a deep crisis. Millions of people lost their lives and the traces of this cruel war are 100 years later still visible.

‘WW1 through a lens’ wants to remember appropriately The Great War and the terrible events of this conflict. This project aims to make our pupils aware that war is pointless and only affects the life of the common people. No more war!

This project is historical review on the West- and Eastfront. The Belgian project partners will focus on the traces of WW1 in West-Flanders, from Nieuwpoort to Messines. The Polish partners will focus on the traces and stories of WW1 in Poland on the Eastfront.

In 2014 zal het een eeuw geleden zijn dat Wereldoorlog I uitbrak. Dit conflict woedde hevig en sleurde de hele wereld in een diepe crisis.

Miljoenen mensen lieten het leven en de sporen van deze wrede oorlog zijn 100 jaar later nog steeds zichtbaar.

WW1 through a lense wil De Grote Oorlog en de vreselijke gebeurtenissen op passende wijze herdenken. Dit project wil jongeren bewust maken dat oorlog voeren zinloos is. Nooit meer oorlog!

Dit project is een historische terugblik van het West- en Oostfront. Aan Belgische zijde wordt gefocust op sporen van Wereldoorlog I in West-Vlaanderen, van Nieuwpoort tot Mesen. Aan Poolse zijde wordt gewerkt rond de sporen van Wereldoorlog I in Polen aan het Oostfront.

W 2014 roku minie setna rocznica wybuchu I wojny światowej – konfliktu, który wybuchł gwałtownie i wciągnął świat w głęboki kryzys. Miliony ludzi straciły życie a ślady tej okrutnej wojny są po stu latach wciąż widoczne. „WW1 through a lens” ma być projektem upamiętniającym Wielką Wojnę i tragiczne wydarzenia z nią związane. Jego celem jest uświadomienie uczniom, że wojna jest bezcelowa i oddziałuje najbardziej na życie zwykłych ludzi. Nigdy więcej wojny!
